Oooh sweet updates!

Hello Jazz Selectarians - yes I’m calling you folks who tune in every Tuesday from 10 p.m. - 1 a.m. on Malaysia’s only free to air jazz show - “Jazz Selectarians”…. simply because! ;)

Well it’s been a crazy couple weeks. Billy Cobham was in town recently and we have an exclusive interview with him. Tune in on May 30th to hear it alongside tracks off his first, middle and latest album. (He’s had 30 or so releases!) He was a stand-up, down-to-earth kinda guy. He has a good hand grip too and apparently I’m his long lost daughter…according to him (long story will explain another day).

Here’s a picture of the man himself - and those two lovely lasses, well it would be me Maya (left) and Traxx FM’s boss Puan Norbaiyah!

Billy was almost the opposite of my experience with Branford Marsalis. THey both came from two extremely different school of thought. You will soon find out when the interview airs Tuesday, May 30th (10:15 onwards)…

My apologies for lack of updates (again)…. It’s like exercising - the feeling comes in spurts..ha! Just kidding! No but really, thanks to all of you who check the page regularly looking for updates..this one is especially for you!

Love always,
On Behalf of the “JAZZY DUO” this is Maya signing off…

P/S - look out for a “video” of Branford’s interview in the near future and lots of photo updates. Check out our neglected lifelogger for that….. updates soon. sorry!
P/S/S - Your demos/cd’s etc are welcome. Send them to

BRAN-ded

Jezza and Maya with renowned saxophonist Branford Marsalis!

And you’ll be hearing our interview tonight with him. So tune into TRAXX FM’s JAZZ SELECTA from 10:20 p.m. onwards to hear what this famously outspoken man has to say about all that jazz.

…and of course our first hand encounter with the man himself :-)

Thanks Brian @ Alldatjazz.com for the picture!
