Out from the Shadows…
….and no I’m not quoting a Greg Lyons track 
Anyway, it’s been awhile since this thing got updated. It’s no secret that Maya (that would be me!) is the only one of the two (the other one being Jezza) who knows how to update this site and since I was pretty much in a coma (okay I’m exaggerating) last week I’ve left this blog a little neglected so I apologize.
Well Kiddos, the week has finally arrived. What am I talking about? Well renowned Amercian saxophonist Branford Marsalis is in town! Tomorrow is the press conference and Jez and I are hoping to get 10 minutes of his time. How exciting!

Wow so we finally had Sheila Majid in the studios and if you tuned in, you’d know that she doesn’t consider herself Jazz… she’s more pop .. okay.. pop - jazz. It was the media who first labeled her “jazz queen” and names stick sometimes. It was a real pleasure having her in the studios (pics coming soon!) …
To our friends overseas - many thanks for helping out with Jazz Selecta - whether its dropping an email or two or sending over your demos for us to review (namely saxophonist Matt Olsen from South Carolina and guitarist Tom Stewart from Tampa Bay). We’re currently passing your demos around for a “second” opinion and be sure for a full review on Malaysia’s very own JAZZ SELECTA ….
