The Unofficial Traxx.FM Jazz Selecta!

90.3 FM in the Klang Valley

UPDATING LIVE FROM THE TRAXX FM STUDIO

This is the same logo from the previous post cept the “Z” from last time looked too much like “2″ so I had my good friend Ben (guy who also designed our banner up there) change it and voila! But to answer a comment by one of listeners - yes you can indeed send in your submissions if you have a Jazz Selecta logo you’d like us to share! Who knows, if we choose yours - you may just get something!! *hint hint* - Email me at maya@traxxfm.net

I want to thank the overwhelmingresponse we’ve been getting via email and the blog this past week…*Overwhelming to us is over 5! - We appreciate your kind words! We’ll be reading a few of them out tonight on the show…

Also on tonight’s show (depending on when you’re reading it) we’ll be featuring some FINNISH jazz. Thanks to Jarmo Savolainen for the compilation of Finnish Jazz..

One more thing, Matthew Olson from Greenville, South Carolina (USA) who contacted us 2 weeks ago about us reviewing his debut jazz CD has sent in his CD and we received it an hour ago, we are going to play a track off his album called “Snake Eyes”…. A full review to come on a future Jazz Selecta. To find out more about Mathew Olson you can go to www.mattolsonmusic.com

Hi! Said I might leave a logo, so here’s a draft. Do have a look, and tell me if you like it.

    Greetings again from California,

Wow, imagine my surprise when I tuned in to “Jazz Selecta” last Tuesday (22 March) on shortwave radio and heard you mention my name on-air and read my posting to this website. I was very pleased. Thank you for acknowledging my letter to you. Sorry, I am not related to THE Ron Howard. I live here in California, on the central coast, about a 2 hour drive south of San Francisco. Monterey is a fairly small town, of about 30,000 people.

I hope that reception conditions on shortwave radio will again allow me to hear your great jazz program.

    Wish you continued success.

    Ron Howard
    Monterey, CA

Gile power siottttttttttttttt cenel korang! Dah bezaman ako tunggu Mesia ada jazz music tau tak!

For the past 3 4 years or so, whenever I return back home from OZ I keep trying to find ONE decent station that has some form of jazz - be it real jazz or whatever, ya know - but nooooo bodoh nye station2 ni ingat semua orang nak dengar lagu jiwang merapu malam2.

But this year….. wah best siot! Finally, bila malam2 ako balik opis, I can sit back, tune in, open my top (the car ah), and enjoy under the starry night - with the occasional rain of course hehe. But who cares eh mate? I’ve got jazz on radio in Malaysia bebeh!
