UPDATES + LINKS = SOON
I realized the sidebar to your right hasn’t been updated in awhile. This is just to let you know I’m working on it. There’s obviously more than just 2 jazz artists in the world!
No commentsI smell eggnog!
Dear friends of Jazz Selecta on TRAXX FM,
I was on RTM TV 1 this morning on their Selamat Pagi Malaysia’s “Dj Corner”. In case you missed it, I had our DJ IMPIAN - DJ UMMIE as my guest and you missed us do the Macarena. 3 Cheers for being fools not only on-air but on television! I guess something is in the air and I feel uninhibited – on the verge of foolish. Must be the fact Christmas is around the corner and New Years around that corner. This leads me to my actual post….
Well I’ve had Double Take’s Christmas album ‘One Voice, Six Strings, Twelve Days of Christmas’ on constant rotation at home. I’ve done laundry and random house chores with this album playing in the background and a silly grin on my face. It’s your ‘feel good’ Christmas album! Mia’s voice is fabulous as always and Roger – mad skills!! Many thanks to Mia and Brabons Entertainment for the copy I have playing right now. If you’re interested in getting a copy, I do believe they are selling at MPH outlets so support your local music scene and buy yourself a copy! Also, don’t forget to buy your tickets to see Double Take perform on December 11th at Stadium Negara. You can get your tickets at http://www.axcess.com.my/eventdetail.asp?id=2860071765236965300411656803445722067151 - Help them make history by participating in Malaysia’s largest jazz concert by a duo.
As most of you know, Mia did drop by the studios last week. If you missed it, well you missed one heck of an interview! It was close to 2 hours and I believe our good friend Eugene at alldatjazz.com recorded the interview and hopefully it’ll be up for the whole world to hear!
Here are some photos from last week: (photos taken with my phone cam)

Jez Bond and myself with Mia.

Double Take wants YOU to buy their Christmas album: ‘One Voice, Six Strings, Twelve Days of Christmas’
That’s it for now. Perhaps more later? We’ll see.
- Maya
